We may collect and store personal data that you enter when filling out the contact form on our website, requesting information, listing properties in our offer, leaving personal data for return contact purposes when searching for a property with specific characteristics, and similar situations. PREFERENCA D.O.O. real estate agency processes personal data collected during the business relationship, such as first and last name, OIB (Personal Identification Number), residential address, property details, etc. If necessary for the execution of our business activities and unrelated to a specific contract or business relationship, we collect data from public sources (Court Register, Land Registry, FINA) or data legitimately communicated to us by other contractual partners or third parties.
PREFERENCA D.O.O. real estate agency, as the data controller, protects your privacy and processes only those personal data that are necessary and obtained within the scope of its business activities, whether the data was received from you, third parties, or publicly available sources. We use the personal data we collect about you to verify your identity, provide the services you have contracted with us, fulfill our obligations arising from contracts you have concluded with us, respond to your inquiries, provide information and services you request from us, in cases where you have given consent for us to contact you, send promotional emails when you have given your explicit consent, and to prevent fraud.
The General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR prescribes the legal bases for the lawful processing of personal data as follows:
Performance of contractual obligations – when processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, or when you contract the provision of one of our services, we must collect personal data from you in order to fulfill our contractual obligations (for example, to organize a property viewing, forward the property address, issue invoices for services, contact you for information purposes, and similar).
Satisfaction of legitimate interests – when necessary, we process personal data outside of a specific contractual relationship to satisfy our legitimate interests. At the same time, we are obliged to act in accordance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act and the valid Real Estate Brokerage Act (Official Gazette/NN 69/2026).
Consent – when you have given consent for the processing of your personal data for one or more specific purposes described by the consent, exclusively after we receive your consent for personal data processing for an individual purpose, while retaining the right for you to withdraw your consent at any time.
If we intend to process your personal data for purposes not described here or outside the purpose for which you gave consent, we will provide you with information about that other purpose and all other relevant information about the processing prior to such processing.
PREFERENCA D.O.O. real estate agency will store your data only as long as strictly necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, in order to fulfill a contractual or legal obligation or a legitimate interest, except in the case of personal data processing based on consent, where processing ceases at the moment you withdraw your consent. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. According to the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR, you have certain rights relating to your personal data, as follows:
Right to restriction of processing – you have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data when there is no legitimate interest for us to do so:
Right of access – GDPR gives you the right to request access to the personal data relating to you, meaning that you have the right to ask us what personal data we hold, how we process it, the purpose of processing, the category of personal data being processed, the recipients to whom the data is delivered, and the storage period.
Right to erasure (Right to be forgotten) – as an individual, you have the right to obtain the erasure of all your personal data that we hold.
